Majestic Valley Oaks, standing alone in the grassland. Colorful serpentine rock, covered in lichen and moss. Searsville Lake, ducks swimming amidst floating green vegetation, misty hillsides beyond. Here are a variety of Jasper Ridge's landscapes.
Please help. I really like the first five images here. Which three should I submit in the "landscape" category? Leave a message on a photo! THANKS!
The first image here might not qualify as a landscape -- but then, what is it, -- it certainly does not fit in the plants or animals categories. (If it is not a landscape, I would designate the next three as my official submissions.)
These "annual photos" were all taken over a two-month period, from June 22 to August 21, 2021; Jasper Ridge finally opened up toward the end of this strange fiscal year.
UPDATE 10/25/21: Based on some input and some reconsideration, here are the changes. I moved "Serpentine Seep" out of Landscapes, into Plants. The all-new top three: Sudden Sunlight; Searsville Lake & Beyond; & Valley Oak with Mistletoe and Poison Oak. This was hard: I like the first 6, and more.
