Bobcat (Lynx rufus) near Stanford's Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences, 12/7/2004, 4 pm. I saw this male bobcat hunting across a distant field. He went up and over the hill, I went around by the road and crept up behind a tree. When I stepped out, he looked over to see the source of the clicking sound. He seemed not at all fearful, going about his hunting after determining I was no threat. CASBS had invited the Palo Alto Camera Club to document their environment, in preparation for their 50th anniversary celebration. I was part of the PACC team.
