Each building houses two families. The murals are on structures scattered around the village. Lake Atitlan is in the distance. The village of Santiago Atitlan is on the arm of the lake to the left, this side of the volcano. The original village of Panabaj was around the lake in the distance, on the left bank, past the volcano.
