Messor andrei are found throughout the grassland on the ridge around Fire Road F. They are active in the late spring and summer, May to September. Here are some of their trails on Road F near Trail 17, where there are several active nests within a few meters. The view to the right shows other trails, used for harvesting seeds for the colony.
