A Valley Oak (Quercus lobata), smaller Coast Live Oak (Q. agrifolia), and perhaps a Valley-Blue Hybrid (Q. lobata x douglasii) (?) stand guard atop the grassy slope beside Road D, near the intersections with Trails 5 and 8.
