Birders Move Past Valley Oak, Mstletoe, Toyon, and a View
Green grass shows beneath the brown thatch. The Valley Oak is resplendent in the morning sun, sporting some mistletoe as well. This Toyon looks quite healthy; its berries are about ready for the visiting birds, Cedar Waxwings and/or Robins, as they migrate through. In the distance on the right, Blue Oaks are still bare of leaves, a few darker California Live Oaks at the top of the ridge. Birding Transect Trail, Jasper Ridge, 11/11/2021, 9:32 am.
