Returning home, we again visit these mixed ecosystems along the Shack Trail (Trail 7). Still crispy dry! 8/21/2021, 10:42 am. From now on, I am going to call Trail 7 the "Shack Trail" just for fun, in honor of the Shack Riders' shack a little higher up this trail, across the road. (This shack was later turned into the "Hillside Lab" when the horseback riders were forbidden from riding up here.)
