Wildness

Mixed ecosystems along Trail 7. Crispy dry! At this mixed zone between chaparral and oak woodland, I see Soap Plants, still holding their precious seeds; Chamise, a characteristic chaparral plant here; dry Sticky Monkeyflower, living at the margins; and Coast Live Oak, dominating the woodland. Dry grasses. Many other plants: leave a comment! 8/21/2021, 7:35 am, still not really any sun. From now on, I am going to call Trail 7 the "Shack Trail" just for fun, in honor of the Shack Riders' shack a little higher up this trail, across the road. (This shack was later turned into the "Hillside Lab" when the horseback riders were forbidden from riding up here.)
