Unknown Oak

Is this a Maul Oak (Quercus chrysolepis, AKA Canyon Live Oak)?? Or a hybrid??? On the east side of Road D, near Trail 6, above Trail 5 and Trail 8. Bill Korbholz writes: " I'm quite tentative about that oak that we saw. It did look a bit like Q. chrysolepis, with gold powder on the leaf undersides. And we also saw some lobe-shaped leaves. But oaks can be very deceiving, especially as they are so promiscuous. I would love to have some experts look at it. Should be easy to find." I can find no record of Q. c. near here, in the JRBP Vascular Plant List -- see below. Time to ask the experts! Please leave a comment if you have something to add!
