Is it just me, or are these beautiful birds becoming less common hereabouts? Perhaps they are out-competed by their cousins, scrub jays, or their fellow corvids, the crows?? Like all corvids, they have interesting and varied vocal ability. From the Birding Transect Trail, 9:38 am.
