Cormorants, herons, egrets, seagulls. We were passed by a hunting northern harrier hawk, and saw a tern diving. There were many other birds. PLEASE leave a comment with an ID or a comment on any image!
More than birds: the magical peacefulness of the water and sky, as seen in certain directions -- and the close proximity of offices, hotel, housing when looking toward 101. A 22-degree sun halo, caused by reflections off of atmospheric ice crystals. Shipping and boating, even houseboats. High tide rushing through a recently-breached levee. We rode our boat under Bayshore Freeway, up Redwood Creek toward the heart of Redwood City.
