Coast redwoods and coast douglas fir fill the steep riparian valleys at the NE end of the proposed monument. Molino Creek cuts across from the airplane's wing to the coast, crossing curving Swanton Road and then straight Highway 1 on its way to the Pacific. Scott Creek, going straight away from us on the right, is just beyond the northern boundary of the proposed Santa Cruz Redwoods National Monument.
