September 11, 2020: the sky is red from wildfire smoke. Jasper Ridge is closed due to a pandemic. Our summer of crises continues.
I drive to two favorite trail entrances to Jasper Ridge, and look longingly through the chain-link fence. Oh, to be walking these trails again!
