A Harvester Ant (Messor andrei) explores the space beneath the outspread legs of a Tarantula (Aphonopelma sp), while the Tarantula remains immobile. The ant can be seen here near the upper right extended front leg of the Tarantula, in the upper left of the image. A difference in size! I have several images of this encounter.
