This was a bird transect, but I was distracted when Sonny Mencher alerted me to the Tarantula. Then, later, I was following the birders and saw a nice spider in a web. I did photograph a few birds in flight, an ant experiment, & Leather Oak leaves & acorn as well. A good morning. But I am afraid I did not help the Tarantula's hunting this morning. See "A Day at a Time" for 8/29/2010ff for the bird and landscape images from today. (This collection includes a beetle from 8/29 and a leaf and feather from 9/19.)
