What a beautiful world we live in! I have chosen these seven images, the best I have for making art prints? Do you want to buy one? Just leave a comment on that image.

These images were all captured at the same location, on the granite ridge above the May Lake High Sierra Camp, looking out toward the Sierra crest. There is a group of western white pines (Pinus monticola) there, clinging to the granite, raising their craggy branches to the sky. One in particular is very impressive. (I prefer the older common name, "silver pine".) Dawn and dusk provide the best soft light.

In some views, Cathedral Peak stands out on the Sierra crest.
