Tassajara Zen Mountain Center is built along Tassajara Creek. The creek runs by meeting halls, hot baths, residences, kitchen and dining room – its presence is felt throughout. Calm upstream, it steepens downstream, rushing past rocks left behind in earlier floods. The Narrows, a popular swimming hole, fills a narrow canyon downstream.
