The largest here are African Sacred Ibis and African Spoonbills, standing on the muddy bottom to fish; Great White Pelicans, carefully choreographed synchronized swimmers, alternately dipping for fish and proudly displaying capacious beaks and fluffy wings; and Yellow-billed Stork, landing on an island. Egyptian Geese (actually a duck), Coots, and others swim about. Wading water birds like Black-winged Stilt and Three-banded Plover probe the muddy bottom. What is that other heron-like bird standing in the water? Cattle Egret?? In the grassland, a game bird in the road: Crested Francolin? A Monitor Lizard ventures out of its lair at the center of an island.</span><br/> <br/> <span style="font-family:calibri,sans-serif;">As you can tell, I am not a birder or wildlife expert.
