Our first morning at Matthes Lake was glorious. The sunlight crept down Matthes Crest. The wetlands above the lake, which I call "Matthes Meadow", reflected the peaks, and invited attention on their own. Kenji moved breakfast from our campsite to a wondeful viewsite near Matthes Meadow. This gallery shows the landscapes; the next one shows the flowers, bees, and other small life.
