A global climate change experiment in an inlet off the Baltic Sea. Looking at ocean warming, salt depletion, increase in nutrients, and acidification. Project 1 (in cooperation with NIO, Haifa, Israel): Are old and stable systems (eg eastern Mediterranean) more sensitive re climate change than younger more dynamic systems (eg Ostsee = Baltic Sea)? Project 2: different combinations of warming and acidification, and impact on marine ecosystems.
