Mostly three kinds of forerst oaks: Blue, Coast Live, and Valley. There are several sequences of the same spot at different times of year. There are two Blue Oak forests featured here: a small one along Trail 10, and a large one along Road F at the top of the ridge. The latter is composed mostly of single-aged Blue Oaks; perhaps this land was cleared for the workers' settlement at the time Searsville Dam was built? Blue Oaks tend to grow in forests, though there can be prominent individuals as well.
