The community members discussed what they wanted in the mural. Then they made small drawings or paintings, suggestions of what to include. These were combined into a prototype of the mural, on a large paper. The paper mural was projected on the wall, and traced out on the wall. Then community members followed this outline to paint the mural. This earlier photo shows how the mural was projected on the wall and traced out.
