Remember this? Back in the dry season, before the real rains: Herons and Egrets stalk the Frog Pond, greening a bit from our teaser rains. American Robin returns to check out Madrone berries. Year-round residents Red-tailed Hawk, “Wild” Turkey, and Bluebird perch high in branches. Buckeye seeds wait for the real rain before dropping into moist welcoming soil. Poison Oak flashes a final farewell to the dry season. Noticing the moisture in the soil, Banana Slug ventures forth.
