Flight! Birds taught us to long for the freedom of the skies. Here, a White-tailed Kite demonstrates his mastery of maneuver, as he divebombs a frustrated Red-tailed Hawk. The passing Turkey Vulture is far from the largest occupant of the air today – a huge airship takes its tentative first flight over the Bay.
