Pair Bonding
A pair of hawks fly right by my head. Swooping, twisting, paired like butterflies -- then coasting to rest together in bare branches, This looks like flirting to me, not hunting. I stand enthralled, not even lifting my camera until they come to rest in the tree -- sorry. Now perched in a tree overlooking Stanford, not far from Trail 15. Seen from Road F, near the lone Valley Oak, 7:40:26 am.
