Happy to see the flocks of Band-tailed Pigeons crowding our skies recently, a Cooper’s Hawk (Accipiter Cooper) exults in their dinner outside Dan and Helen’s dining room. I watched the increasingly messy show for about seven minutes. This hawk was intent on its work -- it took no notice of me through the large window. Photos by Dan Quinn, ID by Valerie Baldwin.
