Snow on Windy Hill, from the Frog Pond in Portola Valley. An attempt at a rainbow. Snow-bedecked Skyline conifers. Gradual disappearance of the snow as the day wears on -- then a fiery sunset.
This gallery includes some of the creatures that ventured out in the cold and blustery showers: doe and fawn, breakfasting Black Phoebe.
All of these photos are in color -- but there was not much color showing up toward Skyline, under the mist and snowfall.
