After Rain
Awakened by soaking rainfall,
Hidden fungi stretch to sunlight.
Mushrooms melt once spores take wing.
Obstacles appear.
Yet life persists:
Leaves thrust from buried stores;
Buds spring from bare branches;
First flowers!
