Before sunlight hits the Frog Pond, the wind is calm and the air chilly. Frost crowns the grasses. A pair of Coyotes wanders by, exploring, open to finding some food. One relaxes in the grass while the other checks for game. Once he has wandered on, the relaxed one rises and jogs off, pausing to sniff and mark a foreign object. Then she follows her mate up Longspur.
