As of now, this is an Unidentified Flying (or orbiting) Object: I don't know what it is. A reddish dot moved steadily across the sky straight overhead, from roughly north to south (assuming the Moon set roughly in the west). I snapped a few photos as it transited. If anyone knows what it is, please let me know. The International Space Station??? Taken at the Portola Valley Star Party, Portola Valley Town Center, 9/30/2022, 8:29:14 pm PDT. (Seconds are for relative times only.) Handheld, 1/250 sec at f/4, ISO 100. About the same brightness as the Moon -- something in full sunlight.
