Along Dwight Crowder Trail

Along Dwight Crowder Trail

The paved trail is named after Dwight Crowder, an early founder of Portola Valley. He was a geologist at the US Geological Service (USGS) in Menlo Park. He knew about earthquakes and might have helped PV write the first zoning in California to take earthquakes into account. He rode his bike along Alpine Road to work, past El Camino in Menlo Park. Nancy Lund and Gary and Liz Nielsen are in front. Ponies are behind. 10:12 am.
