A photo workshop with redwoods and rhododendrons, out of Crescent City, CA. Led by Visionary Wild. Plus my drive there and back from Portola Valley.

"Scenes" is a record of the trip -- other images beyond the first ten.
"Monochrome": some images benefit from a treatment in black and white. Suppressing color lets the structure shine through.
"Moving the Camera": Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) is a way to produce semi-abstract images, with a hint of the feeling of the place.
"Photographers": my fellow strivers, with their cameras, in the redwoods.
"Swallow": A swallow preened and sang for me, at a rest stop on my drive up. Here is a sequence. LMK the species if you know: leave a comment!
