Jasper Ridge Herbarium activists offered the docents a review of trees and shrubs. Thank you! But as we walked around Searsville Lake, I kept getting distracted. Fungus! Grass and sagebrush flowers with bees! Evidence of other insects and coyotes. Searsville Lake itself, covered in floating plants -- such a change from just before the rains.
In a bit of a rush, I haven't identified all these plants or left much in the way of captions. Take this as a challenge: let's crowd-source the captions. Please leave comments on photos.
