The twenty squares from this month's wildflower sheet, with brief descriptions of each flower and where to find it.

As the dry summer wears on, especially in this drought year, it is getting harder for me to find 20 nice flowers in bloom. I have decided to broaden the pool, and include a few spectacular seeds and one nice dry "flower". And some flowers repeat from last month, if they still bloom.

Many (all?) of these plants have been nourished and guided by the Native Americans here, for millennia -- they are the result of human intention as well as "natural" evolution. This month's flowers are quite important for our bees and other insects.

Challenge: #10 is an unknown flower. Please leave a comment there if you know the ID! And confirm #16, if you can.

Hint: If you "Show All", then adjust your window to show five abreast, you will see this month's wildflower sheet! Click on a square to enlarge and see the caption, with the name and a little about the flower.
