Here are some wildflowers you might see right here in Portola Valley, right now in June 2021. Some past their prime, some not yet there.

Captions show where and when these photos were taken. All from Portola Valley -- or Stanford's Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve, which straddles PV and Woodside. The first 20 are included in this month's wildflower sheet; three runner-ups follow.

Flower #20, Indian Pink, is quite rare hereabouts. Please leave a comment on that photo, or email me, and tell me if you see it -- and where. (The one stand I follow each year is on Sweet Springs Trail in Portola Valley Ranch. It is close to blossoming, but not quite -- look for the flowers this month!)

Flower #23, Yerba Buena, is quite modest, as is the plant. A wonderfully fragrant plant. I have not noticed it flowering before, so look for it while you can!
