As I wander out for a morning walk, I exchange greetings with a Bluebird. He is resting at the top of one of the trees popular with Bluebirds these days, overlooking the Frog Pond. A light rain is falling; the Bluebird is quite wet. But he appears undismayed. (As if I can tell bird emotions! I have enough trouble reading the faces and emotions of my fellow people.)

Later, as the rain turns to a light mist, and the sun comes out in the east: a rainbow. Fairly low in the sky, opposite the risen sun. We do live at the end of the rainbow!

BONUS: The next morning -- a Bluebird, again, same Valley Oak or one nearby. Before it started really raining this morning, so the Bluebird is relatively dry. I can't tell if this is the same guy as greeted me yesterday. Can you?
