Grass Flower
Delicate feathery stigmas wait to capture wind-blown pollen; anthers below prepare to spread pollen to the wind. Three sets of scales open to reveal the flower, ready. In the grassland along Valley Oak, Portorla Valley Ranch, near the Black Oak Trail. 3/31/2021, 8:15 am. As always, your help is appreciated: please leave a comment with the ID.
