Fog, mist, weak sunlight; berries, turning leaves; the copper-gold colors of autumn. Here are some Autumn 2020 walks in Coal Mine Ridge Nature Preserve of Portola Valley Ranch, the time of the pandemic and red-flag days of fire danger. A highlight: a rare (for me) chipmunk. There are scenes from almost all of the trails: Toyon, Old Spanish, Coalmine Ridge, and Arroyo.
