A group of botanists, volunteer docents from Stanford's Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve, visit the Frog Pond. Accompanying them, I look closely, and notice much more than usual. This collection includes more than plants and details of plants: birds, butterflies, and evidence of spiders -- including some birds from this morning and the following one, seen while unaccompanied by botanists.
