Birds continue with their lives, smoke or not. (We are all glad there is no fire here!) Lizard, squirrel, and deer keep their routines -- but the lizard does wait for a little sunlight before venturing up the gatepost. An errant balloon lands in the Frog Pond. All seen in or very near Portola Valley Ranch.
Birds include junco, dove, quail (two encounters), hummingbird (likewise), goldfinch, and two kinds of towhee.
I am not sure of my IDs, and would appreciate confirmation or correction. Please leave a comment on a photo!
