Shady Mader Valley, in Portola Valley Ranch, proves a nice place to see birds these mornings. This flycatcher was returning again and again to the same perch. In between, hunting insects, I guess. It preened. Then flew up the hill into the sunlight. Then back...

Nice subtle yellow feathers on its belly.

The Ash-throated Flycatcher (Myiarchus cinerascens) (ATFL) is a "Tyrant Flycatcher". (Some members of this family, especially the Kingbird, can aggressively drive away much larger birds from their nests -- but I would call this brave, not tyrannical... just me.) ATFL spend the winter in Central America, from southern Mexico to Honduras, including Guatemala. They breed here -- look out for a nest and aggressive defense.
