An expedition down the lower part of Arroyo Trail (from the connector up from the Blue Oaks Trail) -- then along Bay Laurel Trail along the back of Doc Nell's horse paddock. Along the way we see the two arroyos that inspired the first name of this trail, "Dos Arroyos", as well as a variety of early and late spring flowers. This shady trail keeps Hound's Tongue, Warrior's Plume, and Milkmaid (not pictured) in blossom longer than many other places on the Ridge. There are also a few bright red Columbines and showy Iris. Roses too.

A highlight of the short stretch of Bay Laurel Trail was a pair of California Quail, feeding in the trail.
