Top of Mid Toyon Trail

Top of Mid Toyon Trail

This is approaching the Grandmother Oak at the terminus of the original Toyon Trail, built in the Portola Valley Ranch portion of Coal Mine Ridge by Town volunteers following a survey by Herb Dengler. Later, when the Blue Oaks Subdivision was built, Toyon Trail was extended by the additon of Upper Toyon Trail. This small portion of the original Toyon Trail became a connector up to the ridgetop and the trail junction at the Grandmother Tree. 2/12/2020, 9:41 am. iPhone photo.
