Hiking in the morning over the last few months, I have met coyotes and many deer; birds large and small; and other creatures. Here are some of these encounters -- even a coyote on a hunt, passing a posse of turkeys in search of some easier game. Crows attacking a hawk. And more.
Living in Portola Valley Ranch has its rewards.
