Variable spring weather wets a great blue heron, a western scrub jay, two newts, and springtime walks starting at Searsville Lake. I attended a seminar as the clouds gathered, then led a tour in the wind, spattering rain, clearing, rain again. I missed a good view of the rainbow -- during a tour, I tend to focus more on the guests than on my photography. Helen helped this time, allowing me a few snapshots -- including pauses to snap the two newts with my iPhone, as the tour members took their memory shots as well.
