The Lone Valley Oak

The Lone Valley Oak

This landmark valley oak (Quercus lobata) stands over the grasslands, on Road F near Trail 15. It has fully leafed out. There is no sign of the tiny path of mistletoe that I saw earlier, at the top right, hear the highest point. The hollow in the trunk has hosted barn owls. 5:42 pm.
