Valley Oaks (Quercus lobata) with White-tailed Kite (Elanus leucurus) on High Perch

Two valley oaks, covered in mistletoe. The far one has lost all its leaves. On the very top sits a white-tailed kite. The kite has chosen a nice safe place to eat breakfast, with a view -- in the "Phainopepla Tree", sitting on a sprig of bare mistletoe at the very top. 8:10:22 am.
