Mistletoe in Lone Valley Oak

Mistletoe in Lone Valley Oak

This lone oak, probably two centuries old, finds something new: Oak Mistletoe (Phorandendron serotinum ssp. tomebtosum) taking root at its crest. In a couple of years, the mistletoe disappears again. The oak itself has yet to show signs of new green leaves for springtime. Coyote Brush invade the grassland in the foreground. From way down Road F, 8:02 am.
