Road F from the South

Road F from the South

Looking across incipient chaparral, we see Road F going from the direction of Escobar Gate, on the right; past the "Mistletoe Oak", a valley oak on this side of the road; then past the small stand of chaparral on the left. Trail 16 comes through the grassland on the far side of Road F, just to the right of the chaparral and its anchor valley oak. An old exclosure is on the ridge beyond. Prominent in the chaparral are California sagebrush (Artemesia californica) and white-dusted chamise, with oak woodland beyond. 12:18 pm. Sorry for the close duplications: I like all these images, and seldom get to this spot, off trail. I do like the "Mistletoe Oak" -- and these give a new view.
