Perspective on Road F

Perspective on Road F

From the south, we see Road F going from the direction of Escobar Gate, on the right; down the valley past the "Mistletoe Oak", a valley oak on this side of the road; then past the small stand of chaparral and off to the left. Trail 16 comes through the grassland on the far side of Road F, just to the right of the chaparral and its anchor valley oak. One can just glimpse Trail 15 at the far left. Prominent in the chaparral are California sagebrush (Artemesia californica) and white-dusted chamise, with oak woodland beyond. The grass is starting to turn color. 12:23 pm.
